Hi, we are up north and have just completed (almost) knocking through from our dining room into the kitchen and extending and opening up an existing garden room onto the back of the dining room creating a lovely big open space. The house is 8 years old and the dining room wall was not load bearing so DH knocked this through himself. Turning a kitchen and dining room into one open-plan space? The plan for this project is to remove the wall between the kitchen and the den as well as the one between the den and the formal living room. This’ll create one large room of almost 800 square feet.
